Deci dupa cum cititi Nicole[[scumpa noastra]] si Jay-Z au fost in la Hollywood special sa-i vada pe Tokio Hotel........uitati si articolul...
Bill-Mania in LA Hollywood has always been the excentric center(it says bellybutton, but I don’t think that’s translatable) of the show society, as a hotspot of unbelievable worldwide carreers. Trends for the planet are born here.
By Simone Vollmer
This is where the A-list of the cinema heroes live, but fates such as Britney Spears’ are also possible here, as a baizarre freak show on TV or the net. In the middle of this shiny VIP metropole in sunny California there was something incredible going on, that would have been concidered as a chap first April’s joke in Germany a year ago – “Tokio Hotel” was announced to play at the legendary rock club “Roxy” on the Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood. I’ll be honest: The news of the upcoming concert caused compassion with the nice boys from Magdeburg: Often enogh I experienced how careers ended here faster than the bubbles of soap operas popped.(this is a word game... she uses the word pop or burst, whatever soap bubbles do, for the career and the SOAP-opera... so HAHA. Not funny.)
But what was waiting for me then, was the meeting with aphenomenon, hollywood like. The tickets for the neat and small club concert(500 visitors) were sold out on the same day. The first fans were already camping on Friday at 6AM infront of the entrance. Robbie Williams would die from jealoussy, he is on of the kind of stars in LA about whom people say “Well, nice...”.
„Tokio Hotel“ already has a big europe bonus in things of popularity, now it seems to be America’s turn – all of America... Tanya(18) knows tha band from youtube and buzznet, she flew in from Texas. Rick Tyner came with his twelve year old daughter Hayley, from Missouri. “I can identify with the music”, says the litlle one with “Tokio Hotel” look. Just like other girlies she adores Bill “the man”(WTF?), the singer of the band. Becca Singleton(14) and Stephanie Cotter, also “Bill and Tom”-fans, have a banner and are standing on the parking ground of the Roxy, with hundreds of fans. They are more excited than ever. “We love Bill and are learning German”, they say, “we only listen to Tokio Hotel, nothing else.” Thanks to Bill, Tom and Co. Germany is really “cool” atleast here next to the Roxy. „Durch den Monsun, hinter die Welt, ans Ende der Zeit...“, the fans are singing, as i fit was their mothertoungue. I see that especially the young girls have invested lots of time in their styling. Judah Lane and Kaylee Williamson from the band “Death Camp Cabaret” from Ohio are in their full punk uniforms. They’ve already been at the concert in Toronto. “Since Michael Jackson I have not experienced a band that so good”, says Judah.
Immured(or walled?) between fans
It is already past 8PM, the fans are becoming unclam slowly. A german security of the band passes me by. “I can not stop people from buying tickets for 2000 USD unfortunately”, I can hear him saying and I am shocked, that somebody wants to spend so much money for a 15-dollar-ticket. The black market seems to be blooming, the rate of all that’s wanted. It starts at 8:30PM. I run inside, with the fathers and mothers and get a spot directly in front of the stage. Later I will regert this. In less that 15 minutes I am immured(or walled?) in between of hyperventilating, hysterical „Tokio Hotel“-fans, some wof whom ask me to teach them some german, here and now. Unbelievable! Every time the curtain moves, everybody screams like crazy and yell “Wir lieben Tokio Hotel. Wir lieben Tokio Hotel!“(maybe “we love TH”... dunno)
Finally it starts. At 9:30PM the curtain rises and Billy, Tom, Gustav and Georg start with “Ready, Set, Go!” A humongous squealing hurricane makes me and the club shake, and the huge bodyguard has lots to do withh holding back this insane mob. While Tokio Hotel rock the stage, I’m being pressed forward by the fans so badly, that I can feel every centimeter of his huge body. For a few seconds am panicked. I make my way through to the VIP-Launge, and take a deep breath.
High class visitors Wait a sec, isn’t that Jay-Z over there? Truely, the mega-rapstar is really at a „Tokio Hotel“-concert. A few meters further even Nicole Scherzinger from the “Pussycatdolls” is sitting. Wow! “Hello, LA”, bill shouts from the stage now, “Thanks to you , we feel like we’ve always been here. Great that all of you came here.” The people are fuming. Then they sing “Zimmer 483” and the soft ballade “Rette Mich”(or Rescue me?), where Tom plays the accoustic guitar and dreamy Bill is sitting on stage. The fans are following all of their movements and sing along to the very last second. All I can see is an ocean of risen hands and cellphones, cameras and banners. After eight songs and two encores the Magdeburgers say good bye, short after 10:15M, to their young audience, that stays in the club for another half hour as if in trance, before a security asks them to leave, eventually.
„An insane(extremely good) experience“ At the after party in the „On the Rox“ above the „Roxy“ I meet the beaming boys of Tokio Hotel. “It was great”, says Bill, “we were much more excited, than normally. For the first time in Hollywood, that is indeed an insane(extremely good) experiance!” Had they expected this many people? “We were totally surprized.”, I congratulate for the ECHO, that they won that evening for the video “Spring Nicht” in Berlin(they thanked via a live-stream from LA)
On February 18th and 19th Tokio Hotel will be playing in New York by the way, in April there is supposed to be a bigger tour through America. They alreayd have contracts with the renowned agency William Morris. I go home short before midnight and sing „Durch den Monsun, hinter die Welt...“ Uh oh, now I also caught that „Tokio Hotel“-fever. Wake up, I am in Hollywood, everything is possible here.
