(1)Death Note
The film follows the manga story of Light Yagami, who is a brilliant but bored student with great prospects. Life changes dramatically when he finds the Death Note, a notebook dropped by a rogue Shinigami or death god named Ryuk.
Any human whose name is written in the notebook dies. Light sees an opportunity to rid the world of evil using the powers granted in the Death Note.
The police authorities, ICPO (International Criminal Police Organization) enlist the help of the famous, but unconventional detective “L” when criminals begin to mysteriously die. Both Light and L believe themselves to be serving justice, and so begins the battle of wits to see who really is good or evil.
(2) Death Note: the Last name
As attempts to catch Kira become more elaborate, Light makes a daring move as he becomes a part of the 'Kira Task Force'. Light and L finally meet. Now their psychological duel enters a new phase.
Rem,another God of Death, gives a second notebook to Misa Amane.She is a TV/Pop star and a Kira worshipper.
On becoming a Kira, she accepts the Eyes of the Death.These allow her to know the name of any person without being told.
With this special ability, Misa offers to work with Light. Together they intend to find the true identity of L. However, L ends up with both Light & Misa as captives. Light has a cunning plan to subvert this capture.
(3) L change the world
A spin-off to the "Death Note" films featuring the character L, the enigmatic detective from those titles. The film chronicles the final 23 days of L's life, as he solves one final case involving a bioterrorist group that aims to wipe out much of humanity with a highly infectious virus, taking the sole survivor of its test run in a Thai village, and a junior high schooler named Maki Nikaido under his wing.
