Pre faima
Gemenii Bill Kaulitz ( n. 1 septembrie 1989 ) si Tom Kaulitz ( nascut cu 10 min. mai devreme decat Bill ) au avut performante la cantat de la varsta de 9 ani. Dupa organizarea unui spectacol in orasul lor in anul 2001, l-au cunoscut pe Gustav Schafer ( n. 8 semptembrie 1988 ) si pe George Listing ( n. 31 martie 1987 ), iar gusturile similare la muzica au dus la crearea trupei Devilish. In anul 2003, grupul a fost descoperit de producatorul de muzica Peter Hoffman, care i-a convins sa semneze un contract cu Universal Music Domestic Division la Hamburg, schimbandu-si numele in Tokio Hotel ( Tokio deoarece le placea orasul si Hotel pentru ca in mare parte au stat la hotel ).
Cariera
Primul lor single, "Durch den monsun" ( insemnand "Prin muson" ), a prins repede popularitate dupa terminarea lui, aparand al 15-lea hit in topurile de muzica din Germania pe 20 august si ajungand nr. 1 pe 26 august; de asemenea a fost primul si in topurile de muzica din Austria. Al 2-lea a fost "Schrei" ( "Tipa" ), care a ajuns al-5-lea in topuri. Au scos albumul "Schrei" pe 19 septembrie 2005, care a fost primul in topurile germane, austriece si poloneze, al 3-lea in Cehia si al 19-lea in Franta. Solistul, Bill, cu ajutorul unor compozitori profesionisti, au scris majoritatea cantecelor. La inceputul lui 2006, al 3-lea cantec, "Rette mich" ( "Salveaza-ma" ), a fost scos ocupand locul intai. Single-ul a fost diferit fata de versiunea din album deoarece vocea solistului se schimbase, asa ca au relansat albumul pe martie 2006. Titlat "Schrei: So laut du kannst" ( "Tipa: Cat de tare poti" ) noul album continea 3 cantece in plus: "Schwarz" ( "Negru" ), "Beichte" ( "Confuzie" ) si "Thema#1" ( "Topic#1" ). Pe septembrie 2006, au lansat al 4-lea single din primul album, "Der letze Tag" ( "Ultima Zi" ), care a ajuns si el pe prima pozitie. Single-ul pentru "Der letze Tag" mai include un bonus numit "Wir schlieben uns ein" ( "Ne inchidem pe dinafara" ). Video-ul hitului a fost jucat prima oara intr-un cinema din Berlin.
Curent
Potrivit cu interviurile recente, Tokio Hotel se afla in procesul de creere a unui nou album, care va fi scos pe 23 februarie 2007 la un studio din Hamburg. Se va numi "Zimmer 483" ( "Camera 483" ), care va contine foarte probabil si "Ubers Ende der Welt" ( "Peste sfarsitul lumii" ). Lansarea hitului era planificata pe 26 ianuarie 2007, si premiera video-ului mondial la Viva Live pe 8. S-a dovedit ca lansarea cantecului a fost mutata pe 2 februarie 2007, dar va iesi la vanzare cand a fost original planificat. Data premierei pentru video se pare ca a fost schimbata la ora 15:00 la Viva! pe 22 ianuarie 2007. Un turneu european pentru suportul noului album va incepe pe 16 martie 2007. "Schrei", "Schwarz" si "Rette mich" au fost inregistrate deja in engleza pe internet ilegal. Stirile spun ca inca versiunile cantecelor in engleza nu sunt gata si ca se incepe o cautare a celor vinovati.

Career
Bill and Tom have been performing together since 2001. Bill has been writing vocals since the age of seven and Tom has been playing guitar since the same age. In 2001, he and Tom met Georg Listing and Gustav Schäfer. After realizing the four boys all shared similar music tastes, they formed a band together under the name Devilish and performed small shows in bars and clubs. In 2003, the group was approached by music producer Peter Hoffmann after discovering Bill on the German version of the popular American television show, Star Search, in which Bill lost in the quarter-finals. They were soon after signed with Universal Music Domestic Division in Hamburg, Germany. At this the point they changed the band's name to Tokio Hotel. Tokio Hotel became a European pop-sensation, in their own right. In 2006, the band re-released their first album Schrei as Schrei - So Laut Du Kannst (Scream – as loud as you can) after Bill's voice fully matured. Their latest studio release, Zimmer 483 (Room 483), was released February 23, 2007. Bill and Tom have also dabbled into acting, having made an uncredited appearance in a German television show, called Verrückt Nach Dir in 1994.But on the other hand Bill provided the voice to the title character in the German dub for the Luc Besson film, Arthur und die Minimoys (Arthur and the Minimoys).

The Price of Fame
Tokio Hotel became the second most popular band in Germany (after the godly band Rammstein) and Bill became a star (See hairstyle). Girls loved his androgynous look, proving that German girls tend to be closet lesbians. After getting laid every night (and - of course - loving it), he got syphilis. This would change his life forever. Kaulitz began to withdraw from the band, not talking to any of them and no longer sleeping in the communal bed. The songs he wrote for the band were now dark and disturbing. The best example of this is "Freunde Bleiben", in which Kaulitz sings "You are the coolest among complete idiots/Rivetchains and tatoo/Mummy endorsed all of that/In return you wear daddy's long johns." These cryptic lyrics struck his bandmates as odd, although the Tokio Hotel fans gobbled it up. According to psychiatrists and the band's manager, David Jost, Bill's condition has continued to deteriorate. Did I mention that Bill likes guys? Even though he loves Tola and Ala from Blog 27. Well, he actually stated "I'm going to marry once I am legal, then visit a brothel anyway and start (another?) relationship with a guy. I will never do the opposite. I swear."
Bill was seen last night with one of his closest friends (boyfriends?) and they looked really cuddly, almost like it was true love. The boy with platina blonde hair was quite shy and giggled all night as Bill tried some dirty talking, wich didn't quite work. Witnesses claims that around midnight, Bill finally had enough, and screamed IT WILL FIT! YOU'VE HAD BIGGER THINGS IN YOUR MOUTH. The boy with platina blonde hair was seen crying later outside the club, and witnesses says that Bill had called his brother who came to the club to show how Bill wanted to be handled. David Jost, the bands manager, are no help whatsoever. Reporter, Nicholas Cage reported that Jost had finally snapped and tied Bill up in a hotelroom, saying that he wouldn't let Bill out until he calmed down.

Tokio Hotel, a popular German teenage band, have been busy recently on recording their second album Zimmer 483 that will be issued on 23rd February 2007. Together with this album, this four-member band will tour through Europe. Prague is on their list on 3rd April 2007.
The pop/rock band consists of twins Bill and Tom Kaulitz, Gustav Schafer and Georg Listing. They all come from Magdeburg where they created a band called Devilish. In 2003 they signed a contract with Universal Music Domestic Division in Hamburg and changed the name to Tokio Hotel. They have already won many awards in their short music carrier.
