The birthday interview!
It will be the party of their lives! At the 1st September the Tokio-Hotel-twins Bill and Tom Kaulitz are celebrating their 18th birthday. A date at which the boys are looking forward to for ages. At an exclusive Bravo-interview the super-twins are talking how they want to party – and what’s changing for them.
Bravo: Why are you so incredible happy about your birthday?
Bill: Since 18 years we are looking forward it! (Laughs) It’s simply the most important birthday in your life. It was always so far away. With friends and Tom I have made plans since the beginning, what we are going to do. From now the whole life is open to us. But the 21st is cool too. In many countries this is the age when it’s allowed to drink alcohol. (Grins!)
Bravo: It sounds like you really want to make a party with much alcohol...
Bill: I will drink really much. And I’m happy to say it open for the first time. Until now we always had problems when we got caught while we did something, which was forbidden for 16 or 17 year old teens. Although really every teen does it…
Tom: In my case it depends on the mood if I’m going to drink much. I don’t plan to drink so much. But at the 18th birthday it’s okay to get drunk badly…
Bravo: What have you planned for your birthday party?
Bill: We will start at the 31st August and celebrate until the 1st September. We have rent a bar – a room just for us. The party will have the motto “Casino night”. Because with 18 years you are at last allowed to go to a casino. We think that’s really wicked. Everyone has to dress very elegant – with suit and this stuff. Just Tom not, he wants to wear a black tracksuit. I already have a suit at my wardrobe. We are getting the whole room equipped new – with Lounge- pieces of furniture.
Bravo: What’s the menu?
Bill: I’m still planning it too. Tomorrow I have an appointment to taste everything. I would like to have some fast food but some Thai dainty too. It should be rather a light meal. The people shouldn’t sit formal around with fork and knife but get every time something fresh again.
Bravo: Who will come to the party?
Bill: It’s rather a small Party. I calculated for around 50 people – acquaintances, relatives, friends and of course family.
Bravo: Do you have already sent the invitations?
Bill: Yes, we got something designed. I haven’t seen it yet. I think the cards will arrive just one day before the party at the letter boxes. That’s why I already invited them with a SMS.
Bravo: Will famous friends come too?
Bill: No we don’t want VIPs there. We separate our job from our private life. Of course we know some VIPs – but there is nobody we are friends with.
Bravo: What do you wish for your birthday? (They talk about presents)
Bill: Good question! We are happy that we are not the guests. We would have no clue what we could give to us. So we have no wishes indeed. The main point is that all guests are coming and have fun.
Bravo: And what’s up about your driver’s license?
Bill: Time has put a spoke at our wheels. Actually we wanted to get in the car and drive off at our 18th birthday. But we didn’t manage it. We really hope to manage it soon.
Tom: I hope that too. So we could visit our friends or family spontaneous too.
Bravo: Do you actually feel like an adult?
Tom: We have felt at the age of 13 like adults. We stood at the front of the disco and said: “Let us come in!” We have been early alone and we always had much responsibility.
Bravo: Are there things you want to do now in any case? Maybe go to a strip-club?
Tom: I already thought about that. I would really like to go to a strip-club, for example one of them at the Reeperbahn, the red-light district of Hamburg. But a cathouse would be nothing for me. I don’t pay for sex if I can get it for free and that’s since I’m 12. (Laughs!)
Bravo: But as an adult you get more mature…
Tom: Let’s have a look… I’m of course not against a relationship. But it just simply never worked out. Maybe now – with 18… (Grins!)
